Katelyn Buchan, a live performing visual artist known as FlowKateOfMind, is a dedicated artist, designer, and wellness/art facilitator. Engaging in live performances at festivals and wellness retreats across the United States, she is passionate about utilizing meditation to tap into the flow state of mind and express the guidance of the universe. She has traveled over 30 states spreading her heART throughout the country. Since her childhood, she has been immersed in the world of painting. Struggling with a learning disability and facing challenges at school, she found solace and a sense of belonging in the art room. Utilizing art as her personal therapy, it became a sanctuary where she felt safe and free to express herself. The inception of showcasing her artwork occurred in the sixth grade, at a local coffee shop, marking the beginning of her artistic journey.

Her artistic prowess continued to flourish, earning her an art award during high school and excelling in AP art as she transitioned into college. Despite the difficulties she encountered in other aspects of her life, her passion for art provided a constant source of comfort and achievement. Having initially studied Fine Studio Art with a focus on impressionism and surrealism, Katelyn has developed a distinctive technique involving blacklight glazing and mixed media, transforming her paintings into mesmerizing illusions, especially when viewed at night.

Katelyn draws inspiration for her art from visionary experiences during meditation, being in nature and life journeys, learning from mentors like Ania Amador, Amanda Sage, Stefan Lucas, Toni Taylor, Chris Morphis, and others. As she continues to expand her roots as an artist, Katelyn also serves as a teacher through workshops, using art as a tool to connect with both the dark and the light aspects of life.

Describing her live performances as a process of surrendering to the music and allowing the mind to let go, Katelyn emphasizes the liberating and freeing nature of reaching the "flow-state-of-mind." This mindset, she believes, can manifest in various aspects of life. Since 2012, Katelyn has been actively involved in diverse communities along the East Coast, facilitating expressive arts workshops and community events to guide individuals toward self-expression, self-discovery, and embodiment, fostering empowerment.

Katelyn initially was inspired to be a clothing designer her childhood, experimenting with a sewing machine and sketching ideas in notebooks. As her artistic skills developed, she transitioned from painting on jean jackets to designing templates featuring her artwork on various clothing items. This evolution led her to master the placement of unique, limited-edition designs, available in her shop.

Building on her expertise, Katelyn now extends her services to facilitate other companies aiming to enhance their brand through advertising and marketing on merchandise. With three years of experience as a clothing designer, she not only offers her own products but also passionately provides extended services to the world in diverse modalities. Katelyn is adept at designing and can oversee the manufacturing process to bring your company's vision to life, creating products that elevate and strengthen your brand.
