It took me about 5 months to process and allow myself to process my nana passing away. I kept avoiding painting with the memory of her. When I started this painting, it had nothing to do with her. I wasn’t thinking of her. As I was meditating, painting and tapping into the flow, she came to me, she spoke to me in a non-verbal way. I felt her presence, it has been a beautiful process. The butterfly represents the ones we love who have past and the tree is keeping us rooted and connected from the inner and outer world of what we see and don’t see. The Remembrance is they can't miss us, because they are ALWAYS WITH US.
